Welcome
Never before viewed scenes of actual Javelina (Collared Peccary) families, in a herd environment, living their day-to-day lives before the camera of Boyce Davis.
Filmed in Prescott, Arizona over a period of two years.
Most people who live in the Southwestern part of the United States, where the Javelina makes their home, have never experienced the scenes presented in this video. The reason many of these scenes have never before been viewed, is because they occur during the darkest hours of the night. There are close-up views of mothers with their young, caring for and teaching them their much needed life skills, and also applying discipline when needed. You will see it all right here, and nowhere else.
You will also learn how Boyce has developed his relationship with this family herd in order to be allowed to film at such close proximity to the animals, and some scenes are filmed at one of their most vulnerable times, while bedded down.
There are no scenes in this video of hunting, or any kind of cruelty to this family herd; you will see only their daily life activities.
A Southwest wildlife documentary for the entire family; entertaining and educational.
